xterm^TM – Termite Monitoring and Baiting System

• Xterm™ is a revolutionary baiting system incorporating new design features that include the latest highly attractive, fastest acting anti-termite bait matrix.
• The novel Xterm™ compressed bait matrix has allowed the co-development of low profile above ground Xterm™ bait stations that will ensure termite control no longer requires the use of large unsightly bait boxes.
• The Xterm™ system uses bait cartridges loaded with multi-surface tablets, ensuring easy bait acceptance as every termite has a surface to feed on. The in-built hygroscopic nature of the bait allows moisture to penetrate the bait further increasing its palatability.
• The active within Xterm™ is a CSI which when used in the sealed Xterm™ cartridge system ensures an action specific to termites with no effect on non-target organisms or the environment.
• The Xterm™ bait cartridge system allows easy, clean application of bait to the stations as and when required. The “oscillating Xterm™” bait cartridge replacement program” ensures minimum disturbance to feeding termites.

Subterranean termites feed exclusively on wood and wood products containing cellulose. In their intestines, termites have protozoa that provide enzymes to digest cellulose. Termites are able to tear off extremely small fragments of wood using their hard, saw-toothed jaws. Termites often infest buildings and damage lumber wood panels, flooring, sheetrock, wallpaper, plastics, paper products and fabric made of plant fibers. The most serious damage results from the loss of structural strength. Other costly losses include attacks on flooring, carpeting, art work, books, clothing, furniture and valuable papers.

Termites rarely come to the surface to feed. So most of the time, you will only find out that they are there when it’s too late. However, there are signs that one can look out for as a warning of their presence.

Soil Treatment is the most effective and cost-efficient form of subterranean termite prevention. The process involves treating the soil beneath the entire building, during the pre-construction stage with repellant or non-repellant termiticide.

Another method of termite control consists of injecting a foam formulation into parquet floor beneath wood surface. The inner spaces of the wood are flooded with foams to ensure that the foam formulation reaches all open passages beneath the wooden surface and establish a layer of chemicals and protect the wood from termite damage.

The foam penetrates beneath the wooden surface which exposed to the injection and impregnates it with active ingredients that remain embedded in the wood long after the foam disappears, thereby retaining the insecticidal, repellant and preservative properties of the active agents for a long time without exposure to normal degrading forces and therefore protect the wood from termite damage.

The most important step in ant control is to search the nest and destroy it. Our licensed professional Pest Control Operator will start with a thorough inspection to search the nest and their harborage sites. Nests are often found in crack or crevice. A treatment may be applied at this point if the nest cannot be located. Baits are placed in strategic areas for foraging ants to transfer to the nest. Baits contain an attractive food substance and a small amount of chemical that does not kill the ant but allows it to return to the nest. Ants feed by regurgitating food to other ants. The ants will be killed or carry the chemical back to the nest and kill others. To prevent ants from entering the house, a perimeter spray can be used.

Our Pest Management Programme is designed specifically for food and pharmaceutical manufacturers to protect their consumables from risk of contamination by pests and pest management agents such as equipment and pesticides.

This programme is based on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles and established to cater to the needs of HACCP compliant clients apart from customising according to the companies’ risk profile and their pest tolerance levels.

Search and Destroy

Our licensed professional Pest Management Operator will search and survey around your premise for mosquito breeding grounds. Once the survey is completed, our licensed professionals design an appropriate treatment program to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds on your property. The purpose of this treatment is to control the larval phase of mosquitoes. This prevents their further development into adults, and reduces future populations of biting adult mosquitoes.

In the event if your premise is heavily populated with active adult mosquitoes, our licensed professionals will treat your premise accordingly. This is done with a residual application either with thermal fogging, Ultra Low Volume (ULV) or fumigation using pestigas to target areas where adult mosquitoes are known to land or rest. By doing so, will not only help to reduce active adult mosquitoes but also prevent mosquitoes from breeding.
