I have purchased a solar water heater, brand Summer, model 450 CX on September 2016. However, the tank is corroded and water leak from the tank (brochure indicate Marine Grade, German Technology). I have used it for about 4 years. Omega trading told me is out of warranty and the repair cost is $2500 including labor for replacing the tank. Obviously, I am not happy and the expected return of investment (ROI) of the tank is far from meeting it. Eventually, I give up using the solar water heater.
A valuable lesson that I have learned is to get a reliable brand and company when installing a solar water heater device.
